In the May issue of Nature Reviews Physics there is a highly-recommended  FREE to read Roadmap on Gravitational-wave physics and astronomy in the 2020s and 2030s

In the same issue an editorial discusses the life of big projects in physics and astronomy and how the timescales in big science will only lengthen due to the increasing complexity of the instruments. But in publishing, timeframes are often aligned with the pace of fast-moving research, which begs the question of how can journals serve the needs of big science. Roadmaps, that outline the timeframes for achieving certain milestones of a big project and help newcomers find their feet in the field, are one answer, but we would love to hear other ideas from the community. Iulia is the Chief Editor of Nature Reviews Physics to which she brings together her experience as a reviews author and commissioning editor. In 2012, Iulia joined the team at Nature Physics as an Associate Editor and then Senior Editor, where she handled manuscripts in various subject areas and oversaw numerous editorial projects. Before that Iulia was a postdoctoral researcher at RIKEN Advanced Science Institute, Japan and at the University of Basel, Switzerland, where she worked on quantum simulation and the characterization of Coulomb crystals of ions. In 2008, she obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo, having studied quantum information and simulation using trapped ions.
